copying well is a SKILL. it's not ART.

your friend may copy well but there's no creativity in it, and creativity is a basic aspect of art.

rudeness through sarcasm is worse than being called a whore? *boggles*

Nah, I know her talent, and this wasn't traced. I didn't see her draw this one, because she did it in Saturday School, but I've seen her draw JUST as accurately with a copy next to her. Hell, I can draw that accurately. I have a picture in my gallery of a space pirate from the back of a Metroid Box or the internet or something, and I didn't trace and it came out to line up perfectly. Again, some people can REALLY just look from one paper to another and get the angels exactly rightT_T

if you didn't watch her draw it, you don't know whether it was traced or not. but, it looks like it was already taken down by DA, and so this drama is over.

the only things i get out of producing fanart is 1) the finished product and 2) some appreciation of the effort that went into producing said art.

having someone else take credit for that effort demeans said effort and is rankling.

however, DA apparently stepped in and took down your friend's rip so i consider this matter closed. an apology would be nice but i'm not counting on one.
